Is the inheritance certificate obtained from abroad valid in Turkey?

The inheritance document is a document that is used to prove that the receivables, rights and debts of the inheritor have passed to his heirs and that these heirs are inherited.

In other words, the certificate of inheritance is a document that shows who is the heir and can be proven otherwise.

The heirs who want to dispose of the estate must first obtain the certificate of inheritance through the court in Turkey.

Certificate of inheritance belonging to non-Turkish citizens CAN NOT  issued through a Notary Public in Turkey.

Even if it is obtained as a result of a lawsuit, recognition and enforcement is not possible because it cannot be said that the certificate of inheritance is a finalized court decision.

Therefore, it is not possible for an inheritance certificate obtained from abroad to be considered valid in Turkey.
